MY SUCCESS STORY:

“Through knowledge gained and skills obtained during a level 4 course, I successfully wrote both a business plan and proposal  to CAPE WINELAND and submitted it in 2009 for their SEED FUNDING PROGRAM and SUPPORT PROGRAM.

I received notification that my business was awarded R44 000 from CWDM for the purpose of buying equipmernt, tools and stock to give this business venture a push and good chance to perform to full capacity. SEDA came in as a role player for tutoring & mentorship. After completion they rated me 93%  for business knowledge and skills and rewarded me with a gift coupon of R5400 for marketing my business. Their service was great and their mentorship appreciated. They also invited me to sit in discussions with a government official doing research on SEDA and the work they do, and as a listed member of a Focus group in April 2010 at SEDA offices in STELLENBOSCH. In October 2009 delivery of my equipment and stock started. I started my exiting journey and finally a dream of over 20 years realized. After almost everything was delivered I got a call from Cape Winelands, their Finance Department,  Mr CLINT ROLAND. He informed me that I have beaten my own prediction on prices, the might be an increase. I still had R5200 left to spent this after everything on the list was in the SUPPORT CATEGORY. I presented my good practice on 22nd MARCH 2010 and did very well. Out of 27 entries, I went right through to the final round ending 4th. This was my personel winning moment, my success in running this NGO. In February we turned 1 year with 67  addicts recovered. I also help to recruit 34 students for SKILLS program for EBS and to enroll  for the film industry and assisted MR BEKKER with 2010 level 4 students. A very pleasant experience to help such a great person with a very big heart. I look forward to receive my level 5 certificate and going on to do level 6 in 2011.
