It was always a dream for me to start my own business. I susequently registered my own cleaning company a couple of months ago, when I went on retirement. However, I quickly learned that there is a lot more expertise, skills and abilities required than merely the registration of the business.

I enrolled with EBS/SETA when the opportunity availed itself, and dealt with subjects that I did not realise had anything to do with business. Subjects such as: self empowerment, self realisation, problem solving principles and techniques, building a success attitude etc. labouring through these modules was challenging, self enriching and enlightened me on a deep personal level – to the extent that I became aware of my own shortcomings, weaknesses, hidden abilities as well as untapped capacity that lie dormant and are in desperate need of development.

At this stage I am in the process of establishing my business, and in so doing, applying the academic and theoretical knowledge that I have acquired through business management courses (EBS/SETA). Aspects such as : human resources, the economic and political environment play a crucial role in creating a stable and succesful platform for the growth  of the business.

I sincerely thank EBS/SETA for all their endeavours and financial support to equip me in bringing forth this business. I undertake to use this knowledge responsibly in my efforts to enter the business world, establish my enterprise and make it a success.
